Youth Workshops
The Youth Workshops are workshops intended for students and young people from Macedonia interested in the synergy of philosophy and film. Тhe 7. edition of the Philosophical Film Festival offered a Youth Workshop “From Idea to Premiere” with the director Ana Opacic in Skopje, a lecture in cooperation with the University of Audiovisual Arts EFTA, and two educational workshops for high school students throughout Macedonia.
The workshop for auteur film “From Idea to Premiere”, held by director Ana Opacic, took place during five days before the Festival’s Main Program (30.03 – 07.04.2017). All interested young people could apply for participation electronically until 17 March.
The premiere of the short film “Shattered Visage”, directed by Mario Petkovski, which was made as part of the workshop, was shown at the closing ceremony of the Festival. After the premiere of the short film, the mentor awarded the participants with certificates and the audience rewarded them with a big applause. Ana Opacic thanked the entire team who showed that with effort and desire, even in a short time a good movie can be made. In the framework of the Educational Program of the Festival, on 22 March 2017 in Skopje a lecture on “The Aesthetical in Film” was held by Dr. Mimoza Reil. The lecture was held in cooperation with the University of Audiovisual Arts EFTA, a collaborator of the Festival. Photos: here.
Within the framework of the PFF Caravan 2017, two workshops were held entitled “Introduction to a film – How is the film picture created?” with filmmaker Ana Opacic. A workshop was held in Sveti Nikole for the students from the high school “Koco Racin”. The workshop took place at the premises of ISU “Derzhavin”. In Bitola, the workshop was held at the State Music School – Bitola where the students showed great interest and enthusiasm for philosophy and film. Photos: here and here.
